Dear JHA Members,
Happy New Year! I hope that you have been able to make the most out of this uncertain time, and that some of you were able to take advantage of our Holiday Giving Guide for some worthwhile local nonprofits. As we look forward to 2022, Jones Hill Association agenda promises to be exceptionally fun-filled and engaging!
On a personal note, my wife Jessica and I are expecting our second child this coming spring and have decided to move back to Northern Virginia to be closer to family. While these plans unfolded over the course of some pressing priorities for Jones Hill Association, as of today I feel comfortable resigning my position as Acting President in order to facilitate a smooth transition to Stephen McBride (our current VP) before officially moving at the end of January. Please take this as notice that a special election for JHA VP will take place at the next membership meeting – nominations may be shared with secretary@joneshill.com until 11:59PM on 1/9/2022. I am hoping that this will be relatively seamless since roll-call will already be taken for the Columbia Crossing letter of support.
This is quite bittersweet for me; we are thrilled for our family to grow, but will miss this community dearly. I trust that JHA will continue to attract and engage neighbors as they come and go. We have done some incredible work behind the scenes to set JHA up for an extremely vibrant future, and I look forward to seeing the progress over the coming years!
